Alison Marshall appointed as Chair of CDDFT

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) has appointed Alison Marshall as Chair. Alison has been Interim Chair since October 2025.

Since then, Alison has worked with staff, governors and local partners to help improve services. She has also helped build strong links with local people and communities.

Alison was appointed after a recruitment process led by the Trust's Council of Governors.

Speaking about the role, Alison said it had been a privilege to serve as Interim Chair. She thanked staff for their hard work and said she looks forward to building on the progress already made.

She also spoke about the value of listening, learning and working together to improve care.

With Alison now in post, the Trust's leadership team is in place and ready to build on the work already under way.
