GIRFT visit highlights work across the region
The recent GIRFT visit gave teams from across North East and North Cumbria the chance to share their work.
The session showed how NHS teams are working together to help people get care sooner and improve services for patients.
Staff shared examples of work taking place across the region. This included work to cut waiting times, make better use of services and improve care.
The visit also looked at ways to make the best use of the services we have. Teams spoke about areas such as surgical hubs, scans and tests, and other services that support patient care.
A key message from the day was the value of working together.
Teams from across North East and North Cumbria regularly share ideas, learn from each other and work on common goals. This helps spread good practice and supports better care for local people.
The session also gave people the chance to look at what has been achieved so far. While there is always more to do, it is important to take time to recognise the progress that has been made.
The visit showed the hard work taking place across the region. It also showed the strong links between teams and services.
A lot of time and effort went into the day. The presentations and discussions gave a clear picture of the work taking place across North East and North Cumbria.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the visit a success. Every person who presented, shared ideas or joined the discussion helped show the great work being done across the region.
There is a lot to be proud of, and there is much more we can achieve together.
